Impressions Camps June 2010: From New Zealand to Hiroshima
The June brought new visitors to Styria. The New Zealand national team completed their World Cup preparations in St. Lambrecht and Bad Waltersdorf. And with Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Urawa Red Diamonds for the first time Japanese clubs spend training camps in Styria.
The IFCS season 2010 is past. 24 teams from twelve nations and 57 friendlies - the IFCS summer 2010 was very successful. The first highlight of this summer was the world cup preparation camp of the England national team in Irdning and the friendly Japan vs. England in Graz.
IFCS chief executive Nik Pichler and member of the provincial government Ing. Manfred Wegscheider draw contently balance. And can look forward to 2011, because some teams will probably come back.
With Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Urawa Red Diamonds for the first time Japanese clubs spend training camps in Styria these days. The reason for it is Hiroshima coach Michael Petrovic who has been an Austrian citizen for 21 years.
